I got a 2:1, and I am very pleased. The reading out of the results was the most terrifying experience of my life.

That means I'm really leaving cambridge in a weeks time. It has been fun, and I dont want it to end yet.

The Part of You That No One Sees

You are compassionate, caring, and soothing.
You like other people to depend on you...
In fact, you don't feel right unless you are helping someone out.

Underneath it all, you feel the burden of everyone's problems.
Without your guidance, you fear that many people's worlds would fall apart.
You like to feel in charge, even if it brings you a lot of stress.

I have done some packing. I wanted to have finished by now. That is not the case however :( Getting there. All my pictures have been taken off the wall. The room looks bare. I like my room. I wish i was staying here for a bit longer.

In other news, I have an idea what i want to do with the rest of my life (possibly) I may post more when i have a bit more of an idea of what it would involve, and am slightly more sure that its not just something i thought sounded like a good plan at first but turns out to be impossible :-)

Today i missed a supervision.

I got the times confused and so I was 55 minutes late. Fortunately my supervisor was lovely and didn't mind too much and said he would give me a supervision at the beginning of next term instead.

I wanted the course to be over.

Oh well

20 happy things meme

The rules:
20 things that make you happy, even just for a moment. Copy and paste. The more specific you can be, the better!
Just making a list of 20 friends is CHEATING.

1) Saying “I love you”
2) When I look at a question again after a break and it makes 1000 times more sense
3) Dancing
4) Finding a pound coin in the back pocket of a pair of jeans (just did this)
5) Looking out my window and seeing the pretty view, especially when the sun is setting
6) Buying people surprise presents
7) Having a tidy room ( I would like to have this more often I just prioritise things above tidying)
8) Going to church
9) Spending time focussing on God
10) Explaining something to someone and seeing them ‘get it’ for the first time
11) Having something explained and finally ‘getting it’
12) Playing music when noone is listening
13) Singing to myself
14) When a song comes on and stopping what I’m doing and dancing in front of the mirror
15) Being in love
16) [info]adqam
17) randomly meeting old friends in the streets/church/sainsbury’s/anywhere else
18) Listening to favourite bits of music (elgar’s cello concerto, the Beatles, musicals, Disney music, stevie wonder....)
19) Being useful to someone, helping with something etc.
20) finding something out about someone and realising that it just makes me love them even more

I went to church this evening, and it was really amazing. The worship group was great the songs were perfect and the sermon was on "Finding Strength in God" I felt like the whole service was written for me, it was exactly what i needed to hear and though i've been feeling busy and stressed lately I don't anymore.

After the service you can go up and someone will pray with you if you want and so i decided that i would today, no particular reason why i just went up today, not something i do every week, and the girl who prayed for me just seemed to know exactly what to pray for. I had never met her before, but she managed to pray for everything that has been bothering me recently, and i really felt that God was there standing next to me.

I feel so loved and full of joy and blessed in every possible way.

Today

I am kinda dreading today. I have a supervision which i havent donw any work for - this is not because i havent tried mind you, I just couldnt. My supervision partner has done quite a lot, and I think i've missed something major, which once it gets explained I'll be fine, just noone has explained it to me.

I went dancing last night and it was really fun, and tiring. I was knackered already when we went, and so I had to leave 10 minutes early to prevent collapse. I got home and fell asleep fully clothed. I woke up half an hour ago kinda sore from sleeping in an uncomfortable position wearing jeans t-shirt jumper etc, not the best nights sleep ever!

Oh well i guess I should finish getting ready for lectures :( I just want to curl up in bed again

The Sonnet
Deliberate Gentle Love Dreamer (DGLDf)

Romantic, hopeful, and composed. You are the Sonnet. Get it? Composed?

Sonnets want Love and have high ideals about it. They're conscientious people, caring & careful. You yourself have deep convictions, and you devote a lot of thought to romance and what it should be. This will frighten away most potential mates, but that's okay, because you're very choosy with your affections anyway. You'd absolutely refuse to date someone dumber than you, for instance.

Your exact opposite:
Genghis Khunt

Random Brutal Sex Master
Lovers who share your idealized perspective, or who are at least willing to totally throw themselves into a relationship, will be very, very happy with you. And you with them. You're already selfless and compassionate, and with the right partner, there's no doubt you can be sensual, even adventurously so.

You probably have lots of female friends, and they have a special soft spot for you. Babies do, too, at the tippy-top of their baby skulls.

ALWAYS AVOID: The 5-Night Stand, The False Messiah, The Hornivore, The Last Man on Earth

CONSIDER: The Loverboy

Fun things

Add to Memories Tell a Friend

Last night i went to the ceilidh that [info]9headeddragon mentioned in her LJ a couple of days ago with [info]adqam, and what fun it was! There was much dancing and music and not too many thousands of people so there was space to dance and I really enjoyed it!!!!!

This afternoon i met my new tutor (the old one has gone away on sabbatical) and he was lovely, very positive about me doing everything and was fun and lovely and was even nicer than my old tutor (who was very nice indeed!)

This afternoon i did some more CATAM - now although this might not come under most peoples idea of fun it worked. I got a very good answer (pretty much what i predicted the answer to be) for two parts of the project and i can write up a reasonable amount of the write up and when i get the book Dad is bringing up in a week i can finish the whole project!!! :)

And to reward myself for doing work properly today i got my beautiful cello out, it was lovely, and i played music, and it was nice and pretty and lovely. And i also got the guitar and fiddled about on that for a bit and worked out something that i havent been able to do properly before and its all good.

Finally... I am getting my hair cut on Saturday and i dont know what to do. I want something a bit different, because my hair has been long and boring for as long as i can remember. Has anyone got any suggestions?

Thanks
xxx

List seven songs you are into right now. No matter what the genre, whether they have words, or even if they're not any good, but they must be songs you're really enjoying now. Post these instructions in your LiveJournal along with your 7 songs. Then tag 7 other people to see what they're listening to.

1) Elgar's Cello Concerto
2) Build me up Buttercup - The Foundations
3) I wish - Stevie Wonder
4) Brown Eyed Girl - Van Morrison
5) Here There and Everywhere - Beatles
6) Another Suitcase in Another Hall - from Evita
7) Every Promise - Keith Getty & Stuart Townend

As a word of explanation for my choices (not that you need to include it)

For the purposes of this meme i am using piece of music in place of song because i had to include the Elgar but i wouldnt classify it as a song and its technically four movements but i've counted it as one
